Front shockabsobers

Post by Brian T »

I have a 29 AA and have a question regarding front shock arms, the parts book says that the arm # is AA 18047, fits 1928-29 and is 6.370” center to center , I also have a picture of an arm that has # A 18047 in the casting, (same dimensions) and profile.
There is a seller on the Fordbarn swap that has 2 arms for an AA and tells me there are no #s on them and are 5-3/4” center to center and says they were used from the start of production until July 1928.
If I measure from the center of my shock bolt holes in line above the spring perch ball measures approximately 5-3/4”, any ideas, thanks in advance.
