Door seal

Post by Mike in Maine »

Hi, need some help. Can someone tell me where the lower door seal on an 82B cab
should go. A picture would be good if possible. Thanks.

Hello Mike:
I can't tell you how it's done, but if you can find someone in your area with a 2 door sedan (55B), you could look at how it's done there. The doors are the same for the tudor and your cab. Good luck, FB

Hi, I'm restoring a 29 AA and I couldn't find much information on the door seals in catalogs. The only info I did find is in a Berts catalog, part #A-48190, the rubber strip is stapled to the inside of the upholstered door panel. You can go to Berts on line at modelastore.com
carry on and keep up the good work

The 82-B closed cab takes the same door bottom seal as the Tudor (as indicated above). Attached is the only picture I have of original upholstery showing the bottom seal. I believe the seal is rubber.

The 82-A closed cab had wind lace at the bottom of the door. Same size wind lace as for the lock pillar.
