AA Spare Wheel Lock

Howdy all,

I've seen the spare wheel locks for the A's that fit over a special lug nut.

Does anyone know how the AA spares were locked on?

I've got the sidemount spare carrier for my AA, and see the hole in the long stud.

Was there a specific lock that was used from the factory, or was it up to the owner to buy a small padlock?

Any information is aprecciated,

As far as I know, Ford did not supply the pad lock for the AA's
