Steering tie rod spring.
I have removed the short rod from the steering gear to the front axle and found a broken spring in the assembly. I looked for a replacement in the AA section of several parts magazines but could not locate one. I would like to replace the cups and spring but need at least the spring. Does any one know were I can get one??
Re: Steering tie rod spring.
Should take the same parts as an A car.

The steering drag link and tie rod ends are A parts. I don't think vendors sell individual parts. I like the kit with teflon seats but it is more expensive than the steel seats kit.
FYI - If you get a Ford Parts Price List, you can determine AA parts in the rear of the booklet. Parts not listed under the AA parts in the rear of the booklet are A parts and can be found in the front of the booklet.

Re: Steering tie rod spring.
I made a correction to the above - the tie rod is an AA part but the tie rid ends are A parts.

Neil, is the drag link also an AA specific part? Luke

Re: Steering tie rod spring.
Cool, that makes life easier. Didn't want to have to straighten a badly bent AA drag-link and I have a spare for an A, so all is good. Sorry about the hijack. Thanks Neil. Luke
