Long Aprons & Rear Fenders on 29 Slatbed

Post by Richard »

I have been into Model A's for over 40years but never had a AA. I now have a 29 short bed like the picture on the opening screen of the club except it has short aprons, running boards and no fenders.

I would like to add the longer aprons and rear fenders. Are they the same as the cars? Id not are they readily available?

Thanks,

Richard

Richard,
Ford offered rear fenders as an option starting early '28 through mid '29. The rear fenders are larger than the A fenders (and a different design - between a coupe and sedan fender).

You will need long running boards, the #3 running board brackets, rear fender spacers, and rear fender brackets in addition to the rear fenders.

All of these parts are available but hard to find and costly. I can provide you with pictures of most of these parts and I have some of them for sale. E-mail me at wilsmor@juno.com.
Regards, Neil Wilson
