HI! newbe here. If i giv the casting numbers on rear of the 28 I'm working on , would someone be able to I.D. it? It starts with a "TT-1" at the top under that there is a circle with a small D in it and along side of that a large "D" I also have a doner truck with a rear AA 4193, Under is the same circle with an "D" and then the letter "B". would someone be able to ID from this or be able to send me in the right direction to finding the ratios?thanks if you can. You will not be able to determine the axle ratio from markings on the housings. If you remove the speedometer driven gear from the axle, the axle ration is marked on the end of the gear.
However, the axle gears could have been changed without the speedometer gears being changed.
If you send me an e-mail at wilsmor@juno.com, I will document the procedure for figuring out what gears are inside your axle.
