Wood blocks under cab are bad.

Post by 1crosscut »

I need to replace the wood blocks under my 1929 82-A cab to get the doors to line up right. The two rear blocks seem to be ok but one of the front ones is completely gone and the other one is just about gone too. I have lots of oak that I can cut some out of if anyone has the dimensions. If not what supplier have you had the best luck with on these?

If you've got the the time to wait and no one else posts first, I can get you some drawings with dims, but it will probably be next weekend. Wife and I are both fighting off influenza and the parts are 25 mi away in a cold garage. I'll put a note on my "Big Board" for it. As I have gotten older, I have had to resort to putting everything that I must remember on a dry erase board in the bedroom. If it's on the board, it gets done, otherwise it's a crapshoot! :D Luke

I'm in no big rush on it. We just had a bout of the nastys in our house this last week too. Not fun! Just let me know when you get the chance.
Thanks,
Dave

crosscut-I replaced all the wood cab mounts with a kit from macsautoparts.com. I ordered the wood, rubber shims and bolts. Everything Ihave bought from them is excellent quality and fits well. Replaced the top wood with a kit from macs also. They will send you a paper catalog if you want one. Radar

Thanks Radar. I'll request a catalog from them too. Been asking for a lot of them since I got the truck in December.
