1930 AA wiper options
I've searched the board and can't find what I'm looking for.
Have a 1930 AA closed cab truck. This truck has a steel vacuum line in the windshield frame. I do not have a wiper motor at this time. I'm looking for a vacuum wiper motor complete, all I can find is rebuild kits, bases, tops but no middles. OR a 6 volt, positive ground unit that will allow the window to extend outwards for a/c.

Welcome to the board. Are you looking for info on the item, or are you just looking to aquire the item? If you are just looking to buy one, this type of post usually goes under the "Buy and Sell" forum. If you are looking for pics I can snap a shot of the one I have (not for sale). Luke

You also might try posting in the "Wanted" section of the Swap Meet area on Ford Barn.

Re: 1930 AA wiper options
Sure, photos of what to look for might be helpful. I don't know what I don't know and I don't know if there is a 6v+ ground motor available that mounts in such a way as to allow the windshield to be opened. All the electric motors I see in Snyders or Macs say that the window will not be movable once installed. I assume this is because the window hinge is below the mount point on the window frame and the arm hanging down prohibits windshield movement. Perhaps I need to look at a manual wiper arm. Does the manual arms setup allow the window to be opened?

Re: 1930 AA wiper options
firewrench,
Your cab is the 82-B cab which is the same as the cab used for the A closed cab pickup. It therefore uses the same wiper (which may also be used on other '30/'31 A's. So, asking on http://www.Fordbarn.com is likely going to yield lots of information (good and not so good).
The Judging Standards (area 20) has lots of information on wipers.

Here's some pix of the one I have. They were taken before I cleaned it up. It is a Trico and is stamped KCX-1 in yellow paint. I also have dissassembly shots if anyone needs them for reference. Luke

Re: 1930 AA wiper options
I have a phone # and name of a guy that did have parts for the 6-volt wind shield wiper motor for the model A wipers. If anyone is interested try to contact him. All I have is his phone #, I do not know where he is located. I called but no one took my call. If anyone make contact with him, make a post as to your results. His name is Mick Esbell @ 805-547-1928 Hope this helps!! Shelby, Louisiana.
