Hardware to assemble express bed to frame
A friend wants to mount an express bed to his frame.He wants pictures that show the mounting hardware and how this hardware mounts the express bed to the frame.Thanks for any help, Ray Mayers.

Hello Ray,
There are three different sets of mounting hardware for an AA express. For the 89-A there is an early to mid '28 version and a mid '28 to end of '30 version. For the 1931 Express bodies (AA131 195-A and AA157 197-A) there is a different set of mounting hardware.
I should have pictures of all three versions. If you e-mail me at wilsmor@juno.com and let me know what express body and month/year of truck, I will get you some information.

Okay, Some pictures of the version 1 mounting hardware for the 89-A Express (used through mid 1928). This hardware consists of a body stop and four pair of straps per side. Each pair of straps has a plate attached to the inside wood sill. The complete set of straps and plates are shown in the third picture.
The bar across the bottom of the frame is the same bar used on the platfrom u-bolts.
These pictures are of some straps I had cast in silicon bronze from original straps.
I will post some more pictures in another message.

Thanks Neil. The pictures sure helped.I gave my friend Richard LeBlanc this website address. He saw the pictures you posted and is questionable if he has a Model AA Express bed.Ray Mayers in soggy Cajun country.
