Do the shoes both have the same length material on them?
What drum/shoe combo did you use? Steel with woven or solid? Cast with either?
I want to expand on this beautiful job and see if I can't use primary and secondary length shoes and make the bottom adjuster float from side to side, as in modern drum brakes, It ought to be invisible from the exterior.
Opinions?

Re: 32 BRAKES
No thats just an option in 32 hyd. brakes
The brakes shoes were still good after I dont know how many years amazing so all original brake pads and drums just added a wheel cylinder took some trial and error and flipped it upside down so adjuster is on the bottom.
Now the next problem the 51 rear end has a bigger center hole and the lug holes do not line up. Whoops they looked the same but not. Have the rims off the 51 but they are the suiside rims and tire shops will not work on them was going to use the 32 split rims but will not fit the rear end. Might have to do some machining.

Re: 32 BRAKES
I think 34 and later wheels will work on the rear. According to
the Hollander interchange they are 5 hole on 8".
