Emergency brake for 29
Hi, I am looking for a picture of the brake rod setup for the emergency brakes on my 131 1/2 long 1929 AA frame.

If no one posts a pic for you before I return from camping, I will crawl under my truck and take some for you. Is there a specific area you are asking about?

Yes, I am looking from the hubs forward to where they engage with the emergency brake shaft. What length are those rods?

The parts book shows three different rods. 28-29 29 11/16", 1929 28", and 1929 with
4-speed 28 7/8"
4-speed 28 7/8"

Re: Emergency brake for 29
The rod lengths listed above are for the rod that goes from the emergency brake lever to the cross shaft. I think JPP is referring to the rods that go from the cross shaft to the rear hubs which would be 59 3/4" long for a '28-'29 AA.

Re: Emergency brake for 29
Hi, my truck is missing the cross shaft, so if someone could snap a picture from the rear facing the cross shaft, so i can get a clean look at it, it would really help.

Re: Emergency brake for 29
Here is a close up of mine after cleaning and servicing, make sure the rod from the handbrake lever fits in to the lower hole on the arm, I read some where that the hole at the top is for when the brake bands are worn and there is no adjustment left on the rods.
Regards Brian.
