Re: AA KING PINS
Mike, You'll get a much better fit if you take them to an
automotive machine shop with a Sunnen hone and have
the bushings honed.

I went to an old garage in our area, that is run by the son of the original owner. He lent me a reamer that was adjustable. I don't recall the name. He found it in a cabinet with other tools from the old days. I don't think there is an actual size that they should be reamed to. In the early 80's I worked in a heavy truck shop and that is how we used to do them.

Mike,
You would need a expansion reamer with a range of something just under to just over an inch, and go slow
the hone sounds interesting.

The Sunnen hone is the ultimate way to do the fitting! It is so quick and easy that you might even be able to wait while it is done. Be sure to take both new king pins with you since they will need them for the comparitor and fit.
