Shock absorbers for a '31 157" truck

Two questions:
1) I have realised that I need to mount shock absorbers on the rear axle. The truck is equipped with a pair of Maremont 20X helper springs. Can I mount shock absorbers also? That is: Is there room enough on the rear axle to do so and still keep the helper springs?
2) If Yes. Does anyone have a pair of usable or repairable shock absorbers for sale?
