Pictures of the inside of a worm drive #1

Post by 1crosscut »

I hadn't had the opportunity to see the inner workings of an AA worm drive until I took one apart recently. I thought that I would share some pictures. Perhaps they will help someone out in the future.

Dave: These are really nice, and made me think that you might expand on the subject, print & package, and sell as a supplement to the Jim Schild AA book - or create a separate pamphlet.

Crosscut, this question is related to the photos on Fordbarn of your beautiful floorboards in your '29 AA. Is it possible To get a print of the hole and slot locations? I had no floor whatsoever for a pattern. My'28 also has the left hand emergency brake. Thanks for your time. Best regards, Rick

Poking around in the dusty corners...
I just had to bring this one back into the light.
Is there anything more beautiful than this work of art?
No CAD, no CNC, no alien technology, just good old fashioned engineering !
