door striker plate shild

I am rebuilding the door latches in my 29 AA. Can any one post a photo of how/where the door striker plate shield is mounted on the door post, part # is A65029S ( out of Macs catalog) Thanks Mac....

FYI - Vendor catalogs are mostly not in part number sequence. It would be better to post the catalog year and page (followed by their part #). And vendor part numbers normally have no relationship to original Ford parts numbers.

now i'm confused. (ok not a dificult thing to do)

I have the vintique door striker plate for the 28/29 pickup part no a-80331 which looks like the closeup of the older door frame a few post able, which leads to two questions:

A) how is this part mounted to the wood, a pair of wood scres?

b) what is the flat plate shown above? where does it fit?
