I need help figuring out what's right and wrong

Hi everyone,
I have been emailing Neil, trying to update Newmarket's fire truck information. Well, it appears that the engine is a 31'. Well, the truck is registered as a 30'. Since I am new to this and I would like to document as much as possible for the Town, can you help me identify the year and tell me what is right and wrong about the truck. I do know it is missing a tank and a horn. Also, I know that it has had a chrome grill cover for a real long time. The first picture is of an ID stamp riveted to the firewall.

It has a car radiator and shell. The oval speedometer is interesting, don't see them on the late AA sheet metal.
Is that a shifter for a Warford transmission by the seat? The engine number should start with AA.

The radiator shell has been on the truck for a very very long time. Plus, firefighters like pretty trucks. Here is a picture of it when it was in active service.
