aafords.com Site Testing
I am developing the aafords.com site. I got it published 11/29/13. It is currently just a skeleton of what it will be over time. It contains about 5 to 10 percent of the planned content. My plan is that this site will contain all (or most) of the AA information which I have researched over past years.
I am looking for AA'ers to help test this site to see if there are any problems in the functions of the site (i.e. moving from page to page, being able to see the complete page, etc.). Please use the email address on the site "CONTACT" page and let me know your results of looking at the site. I will need to know what type of computer you are using, its operating system (like Windows XP, etc.), and the Internet browser used (like Internet Explorer, etc.).
Since this is just a beginning of the site's information, many pages indicated "This page is under construction". There are only about 20 pages. Please try to go to each page in your testing.
FYI - At this time, I am not looking for questions regarding when the site will be expanded or finished. I just don't know when that will be. It took me three months of development and then six months to just get this skeleton site published for the first time. I am starting to learn about web site developments (a slow process for me).

Re: aafords.com Site Testing
Neil great idea for the site. Just went threw it and it's looking good so far. Keep up the awsome work. Your info and research from your years doing this great hobby of restoration really helps the newbies in it really to do things the proper and right way or as my dad says (30+Years on restoring A's ) "how Henry did it" and to keep the hobby going.

Neil, your work on the aafords site is intuitive and logical.
As I expect the rest of the content to be of the same caliber, this site will be a model of how it should be done!
Really great job, thank you for sharing your gift!

Re: aafords.com Site Testing
That is a great site! Will there be a place where we can submit pictures of our AA's & projects?

Re: aafords.com Site Testing
blgitn,
My knowledge of web site building is just beginning. The site that I am developing is a stagnate site. I believe that is to say that it is not a blog site. A blog site would allow input to be posted (kind of like this AA Forum site). So, I don't currently plan on AAFords.com having the ability to allow postings by AA'ers. My current plan is to release a new version of AAFords.com about every six months until I have published most of the information I have.
However, that sounds like an interesting site to develop in the future. Do you know of any sites which have this capability?

Re: aafords.com Site Testing
spectria,
I found "AF Photo and Video Gallery" at the http://www.automotiveforums.com/ site you indicated.
Is this where individuals can post their photos? What is the process/requirements for adding an album? Which is your album?

Re: aafords.com Site Testing
Fred,
Your site looks great. I have used WordPress to build my site. I like that your site had a page color and not just white. Do you know the html code for changing the page color?
