What would you do...

I have a decent (needs work) commercial radiator shell (not known if "original") and a reproduction mirror shiny one on the truck when I bought it. I am going to put a correct black on when the time comes.

:?: Would you fix the commercial shell or strip the shiny shell and paint it black? :?:

 OR does anyone have a nice one available?

Thanks. 8)

Is the re pop shiny shell commercial?

And if you paint the truck a different color, would the shell still go on black?

I am guessing that you are talking about your early '30 AA. I would always go for an original myself. I might have one to sell. I can't look to see for a couple of weeks (going to Chickasha).

The 1928 shell has small holes for the single bulb headlight wire. In 1929-1930 the holes were enlarged for the two bulb wire headlights and a bell shaped reinforcement around the crank hole was added. The reproduction shell lacks the bell shaped detail which is visible on the shell, but has the larger holes.

I guess I have an original here according to Hayslip. Thank you. :D
