Brake assembly

Post by tomkline »

What is the best book to get that shows the complete breakdown of the parts on the Model AA and adjustment procedures?
Does anyone have pictures of the rear and front assemblies?

I think the 1937 chassis parts book has the best pictures and break downs.

The Service Bulletins are probably the best for adjustments.

Does anyone have this book?

FORD MODEL A and MODEL AA CAR & TRUCK OWNERS INSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE & OPERATING MANUAL - GUIDE - 1927 1928 1929 1930 1931

Does this have any good pics and info in it for adjusting brakes etc?

I found this book while digging around on Amazon yesterday after looking at the link Bob listed above.

Thanks Bob...

FYI.. Last year I purchased a mint condition original 34 truck owners manual plus the envelope it comes in on Amazon for $15.00! Beats Ebay $$ anyway.

If that is the book by McMillan it has a ton of pictures. It has pictures of different factory
and after market bodies, accessories, and truck weight and load specs but not
really anything on adjustments or overhaul.

Bob: It may be in Jim Schild's book - "AA Supplement --" Look it up, and it's a great book to have in any case. The McMillan book is interesting, but not technical. Good luck.

I was thinking McMillan's book... might have had something. Look's like it doesn't have as much technical info as it could have had. I remember seeing it years ago.
Thanks
