Door latch rubber
On a 1931 82B cab there is a piece of rubber that covers the door latch. This is on the inside that screws to the two piece wood door supports of the cab. It may be on other body styles but I do not know. My question is, why was it rubber? Thanks , Mike

Mike,
I think Ford used rubber rather than wood because the rubber would not brake when upholstry tacks were driven in.
