1928 truck drive train
1928 truck drive train
Hi all,
First time on the forum so bear with me. I'm helping my nephew with a 1928 Ford AA truck. He had the motor and transmission completely overhauled. Now we are in the process of installing it back in the truck. Unfortunately due to the time span of removal and install, we are stumped on how the support housing where the Ujoint connects between the end of the trans to the drive shaft goes together. Would anyone have a schematic of that area or direct me where to get one. Any help will be appreciated
Randy

The pictures without the u-joint are for 30-31 4-speed trucks.

Guys,
Thanks for all of the input. To make things clearer for me and all of you, I will attach some pictures of what I'm confused about. I will try to get them ASAP. Thanks again

I am having the same problem with a 29, I can not see how to attach the u joint on the rear of the trans to the smooth shaft from the drive line

Re: 1928 truck drive train
What do you mean by smooth shaft, they should all have splines on the ends.
Do you have a picture of what you have??
