#6 cross member platform on stakebed
Gunmetal 2 asked if I had the back of the platform on my stakebed made. Yes, see attached picture. My old one is rusted out in places and also dented in bad. A previous farmer used to push the truck with a tractor to start it. Pushed in the platform all the way to the back of the cab.

No I didn't bend it myself. I took the old one to Wilson Fabricating in Mount Pleasant MI and they coped it. Only thing they could not put the little offset on the top where it lines up with the bed boards. I put a spacer in there to make up the difference. They only charged me $55.00 for it. Material and labor.

Wow not bad price at all. Got anymore pics anyways? Did they put the I guess you would call it the L bracket on the inside where the bed boards would rest on?
Did you re rivet the old brackets on? How hard is it to do?
Sorry for the barage of questions but the backend is just about the only thing wrong with my bed...

Re: #6 cross member platform on stakebed
Gunmetal 2, wouldn't be better to have one made near where you live? Where do you live? I could give you the dimensions of mine if yours is the same thing. I could also take off the rest of the hardware off mine and send you the skeleton. I have included what it looks like underneath. It is the same as the old one with angle metal that comes up to the bottom boards. Also the old one with the offset that they could not duplicate.
