honeycomb rads
last weekend, chasing down a 32 BB I saw in the field a ' 31- 157 wheelbase with a honeycomb radiator with the right( Ford inscription) shell. Didn't know Ford had that. Did have a 32 plymouth that had honeycomb. Genuine or after market ?????

Re: honeycomb rads
Honeycomb radiators were common heavy duty aftermarket radiators for many Fords. They cool really well. I had one on a Model A once that worked fine for many decades but one day I was going down an old logging trail with tail grass and did not see a fallen branch ahead of me. The hole poked in the radiator was not that big but honeycomb radiators are extremely difficult to repair.

My uncle has a honey comb radiator on his doodlebug, seems to work fine for him.

thanks for the replies. I sort of figured it was after market, now I'm sure . Dan C.
