For those looking to include pictures in posts, emails, Instant Messages...
First go to your Photobucket Library, should be "public" access, or you will have to include a password if "private".
Here is a couple shots of a new folder being created. You can choose "Public" or "Private" by clicking on "edit" ext to "Privacy Setting".
Here you can see the folder I named 'public' (so I would remember where I place public things). You will see some folders below the 'public' folder have a pad lock symbol and others do not. This signifies private from public.
If you have an existing folder of pictures you can lock and unlock it by clicking the pad lock icon next to the name:
Now what you need to do is go to the folder that has your pictures within it and click on the picture you wish to share.
On the far right next to your picture you see "SHARE LINKS":
- for email or Instant Message (IM) you simply click on the box next to the label "Email & IM"
- for a forum post where you wish to show a picture inline click on the box next to the label "IMG"
What happens when you click is the link string is copied to the clip board, so you just paste it inline in your message or post.
It might look like this: (I deleted the begining and end brackets to show the text)
url=http://s994.photobucket.com/user/cernig ... 3.png.html]img]http://i994.photobucket.com/albums/af63 ... ions03.png[/img[/url
That is a lot to type, right? So it is nice to have a simple click and paste method
Without the outer brackets removed it displays the shot showing the link labels and boxes (I drew the red star and yellow box to direct your attention to the area being described)
I hope this is helpful. Pictures help so much in communication. You can also share whole folders or Albums by clicking on the appropriate "SHARE LINKS" box when you are at the folder or album level, not at a specific picture contained within. Please keep in mind that as you change your folders, rename or delete pictures, etc. the links in your prior messages and posts will no longer work.
Please feel free to offer your tips!
