i got my spring back from the sandblaster today and primed them.

My springs have some grooves in them but they're not that bad. I'm leaning towards skipping the step of grinding out the grooves. Is that reasonable or a bad idea?

Bad idea, deffinately taper the leaf above just a hair so it doesn't dig in again. Takes a few seconds per leaf with an angle grinder.

Or it may catch over bumps and ride rough if you don't grind it down.
