High Speed Rear?

There a guy who's selling a Front & Rear Axle on EBAY. See link below.

My Question....is there 2 different axle gear ratio(s) for 1930-31? If so, what's the difference and what's the high end on mph?

Yes there were two different ratios available. Standard and high speed.

What would be the top speed expected with a 5.14 verses a 6.6?

Wide open mine would do 55. I am now adding a Warford auxiliary transmission that has a 12% overdrive.

AA Truck Speeds for an engine rpm of 2600 is shown below. I think 2600 rpm is a good cruising speed for the engine.

Weren't the high speed rear ends stamped and tagged with the numbers 7-36 and the standard "low speed" rear ends left un stamped?

Looks as if the drum was put on without lining up the keyway, the nut looks to be correct.

I think there is something fishy with that rear axle. The rear axle nut is barely screwed on to the axle, but the drum seems to be in the correct place when compared to the backing plate.

Maybe somebody replaced the axle shaft with the wrong one. There were 3 different lengths, one for 28-29 without separate emergency brakes and another one with emergency brakes, and then another length for the 30-31 bevel gear.

So the question: Is high speed rear ends stamped and tagged with the numbers 7-36 and the standard "low speed" rear ends left un stamped?

My understanding is the Low speed housing has an "A" stamped on it. The high speed has a "B" stamped on it. This is for the Worm style rear ends.

I assume you are referring to the worm drive rear end, my bevel gear housing is stamped 7-36 on the lower edge where the two halves are joined in the middle as well as having a tag with the same numbers which are the number of teeth on the pinion and ring gear if I am not mistaken.
I recently looked at another rear end that had no tag nor any apparent stamped numbers, the speedo gear was stamped 6.6
