Wheels and Speedometer Gears
I need to locate the Speedometer gears for my 30 AA. It is a late 30 with the round speedometer. I could also use a couple of wheels to replace a couple that arn't in the best of shape that I have running on the inside duels.

Re: Wheels and Speedometer Gears
The small gear is what is bad... But I believe it would be best to change them both as a set. It is a standard (Low Speed) rear end. I will look on the rear end and see if the ratio is there.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Wheels and Speedometer Gears
I'm pretty sure the 5.14-1 speedometer driven gear is for the high speed rear end.

Thanks for all the help. I have a gear on order now. It will be nice to have the speedometer working.

Be sure to test the cable and speedo for smooth rotation before you attach to your new gear.MarkJones15 wrote:Thanks for all the help. I have a gear on order now. It will be nice to have the speedometer working.

Roll your speedo cable into a coil. Placed it on a piece of paper. Cover it with motor oil. Sprinkle powered graphite all over it then reinstall it.
