Well I thought this was a Russian GAZ-AA rim but it may not be?
Says BUDD WHEEL CO MADE IN USA
I assume the deeper stamp is a manufacture date of Septermber of 1930 (09-30) and I think the other is a part number? From what I can tell it is # 6-22140 - is that number refrenceable somewhere?
cleaned up backside where info was stamped

Thats pretty neat, My one plate on my rear brakes that holds the emergency brake away from the service brake has the word BUD stamped in it.

Ive seen that BUDD stamp on my emergency brake carrier before. It is neat when cleaning up these parts to see a stamping magically appear

Re: More pictures of mystery wheel
Part number 6422140 is not a Ford part number, I would guess a Budd Wheel Co. number. Googling "Budd Wheel 6422140 got zero results.

Re: More pictures of mystery wheel
I believe the Budd part number on the wheel pictured is C-22140. All the Budd wheels I've seen on the AA's had a "C-xxxxx" Budd number on them. I looked up Budd part number 22140 in a 1931 Budd Wheel Catalog I have and this is what it says: "DT" Wheel 20X5 5 degree 3 5/8" dish Stude $12.00 list.
Mystery solved?? Could be for a Studebaker truck.

ahh could very well be a C.
Yes i agree it could be a Studebaker truck. Didn't know Studebaker made heavy trucks but there were 150+ auto manufactures at that time too...
