89-A Express Cross Sills?

Post by Neil Wilson »

There are some newly manufactured 89-A express cross sills being offered on Ebay (see URL's below). They look to be correct. If any one buys these cross sills and have originals to make a comparison, your report back would be appreciated. Original cross sills are many times in poor condition and these are needed for anyone doing a TT express conversion to an 89-A. Attached is a picture of a set of originals.

They look pretty good. I will say I bought a pair of engine pans a couple of years ago from the seller and they were spot on.

Chris,
If you have originals for making a comparison, please report your findings.

I have no originals. I just received this E mail from the seller.

I just got confirmation that the wood sill boards are complete. They are solid white oak. With all holes and notches in their respective place. Beveled edges. Truly a nice piece.

Price on those is $380 retail. Since you bought the sill set, I can mark these down for you to $360.

Here are some recent pictures today.

Best regards,

The vendor that was selling cross sills says he will have skid strips for the express bed around the end of March.
