Does anyone make stainless front bumpers for AA? Also looking for the bumper clamps for 1930 AA, an original set or dimensions of original so I could try and make a set.

are they not the same as for the 30 A ?

from bratton's catalog :

30-31 STAINLESS STEEL FRONT BUMPER BARS
For Year(s): 30-31

These bars are polished to a bright finish and will last forever. Two bars only. The backside is not polished.

Part #24340 30-31 STAINLESS STEEL... $ 315.00

When you say 1930 AA front bumper - are you refering to the early 30 that still looked like the 28-29 or the later 30-31 that had a single flat slightly curved piece of steel as a bumper?

If you mean the 2 bars they should be the same as the regular A.

The AA had a 2 bar front bumper similar to the model a passenger cars but they are a little heavier, 2 inches wide x 5/16 thick x 61 1/2 long. They changed to a single wide bar some time late 1930 - early 1931. Iam getting price on having mine chrome plated but its a little price, best price so $750.00 for the pair.

Are you talking about the deluxe accessory 1930 AA bumper?
I have a photo of one but I cannot figure out to post the photo here.
When I tried to upload it I got "The image file you tried to attach is invalid."
Judging by the plating cost I would guess you live in California.
I can only guess since there is no info in your AA forum profile.

My understanding is that the 2 bar was offered as standard in 1930 on all AA . But I am no expert.

"My understanding is that the 2 bar was offered as standard in 1930 on all AA ."

According to the Judging Standards, p. E-20:
The regular 2 bar bumper was standard until Nov. 1930 when the black painted single bar AA bumper became the standard equipment. The Deluxe accessory AA 2 bar plated bumper was offered from mid-1930 through October. On a few models thereafter the deluxe bumper was standard equipment.
There is a good picture of the deluxe bumper on p. E-20 of the "Heavy Commercial Vehicles" section.

I used your request for the pic from the judging standards to finally trudge through getting my scanner working again. Here is page e20 from the 94 version of the standards.

Proposed changes to the E supplement (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) of the Judging Standards are being worked on. I have extracted the front bumper information from the proposed documents. The front bumper is judged in two areas (E04 for the bumper brackets and E15 for the bumper). The link below is for a folder containing these two E area documents.
