Steve Tautz - Denver et al, When you fellas restored your rack components what solution did you come up with for the revited panels on the first front side panels. These metal panels and wood side boards are reiveted together and to properly restore the wood and bang the dings out of the panels I will need to disassemble by removing the rivets.
I am hoping they are a soft rivet and not require heat to set them. Or perhaps I could substitute carriage bolts?

Go ahead with the bolts. You can always switch to rivets latter. Take the time to make yourself a drill guide to hold the drill bit on center of the rivets. It'll save time and broken bits.
