Leaking rear axle

Hello Everyone, I own a 1931 AA Ford Fire truck, the right rear wheel has oil on the wheel after driving.
What is the cause of the oil leak and what is needed to repair it?

A couple of things.
Could be your axle seal has gone bad. To fix that you will need to pull the rear end out and split the differential apart to get to it. At least that is the way to do it for a 28/29. Perhaps 31's are different.
Could be as simple as your rear end being over full.
If the oil level is correct you might be able to get by for a while with a questionable seal by lowering the oil level by and inch or so.

You just need to pull the brake drum to get to the two seals on the bevel gear rear axle.

I thought this too on 30-31 AA bevil gear rearends they are like a modern rearend and can get to the rear seals externally without having to rip the rearend apart.
