Headlight bar lengths

Post by marcel kristoff »

I have two different length headlight bars with my AA. The one with the headlights attached is older looking. I have new looking bar with nothing attached to it. I can't seem to find any measurement online for the proper one. The total widths are 41 5/8"and 42.5 inches. Which one is correct?

The 1928-June 1930 bar is flat between the two headlights. The 1930-31 style is arched from headlight to headlight. If you have a Jan-June 1930 truck use the early style. Some trucks of this period still had the 1929 style headlamps, but all used the early bar regardless of lamps.
