Need help with my generator output. 1928 with a powerhouse generator which put out up to 20volts . Have added a ground Cable from ground battery ter. to the bell housing without any difference. Checked voltage a gen , terminal block, amp meter, battery, all read 20 at half Throttle . The cut out is ok. What Is the solution?

Make sure the generator itself has a good ground.
