Roll Out The Barrel...

Post by gearling »

Here are some before and in process pics. Making it presentable, but it will always be a work in progress... aren't they all?

Here are some more. So far the main focus has been on squaring up and supporting the barrel. Hanging the doors made a good frame of reference, allowing plenty of tolerance so they don't bind while moving down the road.

Very nice photos - Thank you for sharing. At first, I thought the back might be a section of old silo. That should be a great project, and very unique. Best of luck with the project.

Thank you. Sharing is 99% of the fun in ownership. I just love seeing how people react to this kind of thing, old timers recollecting, kids marveling. There is a certain universal appeal to these old trucks.

Hey that is really nice. Thanks for the link. I'd rather live in something like that than one of those tricked out tour buses any day! I'm used to roughing it though. A cot and a portapot are luxuries to me. It would make a great camper, but I probably won't finish it out too nice. That way I can use it as a work truck, fishing shack, or whatever I need it for at any given time...
