Looking at a 30/31 frame an running gear that has two 31 delux wire wheels. Anyone looking for these?

If they are split rims I can use them and the drums as the bolt pattern is different than the standard AA.

Re: 31 delux wire wheels
I think this is an early 30 with two 5 hole bud wheels and two wire wheels. I only need long running boards and skirts. The guy wants 700 for what is in the picture. I maybe able to negotiate him down some. What's a couple of hubs and wire wheels worth?

Re: 31 delux wire wheels
They look like regular 1928 wire wheels to me.
Look for the manufacturing date on the firewall.
What is the frame VIN?
Is the gas tank cap twist on or screw on?
Parted out it might be close to $700 value if the fuel tank is good.

Re: 31 delux wire wheels
Sadly none of your pictures show the rear end. I see a 1930 steering column and wheel. The wire wheels are 1928 and not the 1931 type. So we have a couple possibilities here. It is either a 1930 with a 1928 front axle and wheels or a 1928 with a later rear ens and steering column. As stated above the gas cap would be another clue. Screw on 1928- very early 1930. Twist lock definitely 1930. Also being able to see the frame cross members would be a good clue to its year of birth.

Chris, notice that the wire wheel and disk wheel are reversed front to back on either side of the chassis. Very odd!
Can a disk wheel be bolted on a '28-9 AA drum? Or will a '28 wheel fit on a '30-31 drum? I've never tried it.

Re: 31 delux wire wheels
If it is an early 30 how are the 28 wire wheels fitting on the 30 hubs?

If you would answer the question about the gas tank filler, or include it within the frame of your photos, it may be conclusive.
In all respects other than the '28 wheels it appears to be made between Jan & June 1930. I guess someone just stuck those wheels on to roll it around.
The good news is that if the '28 wheels are in good condition they are worth about $100 each.

I don't know how they are fitting. The rear end is obviously the split case Timken bearing unit that didn't appear till late 1929. It has the 1930 huge brake drums. It is also the heavy Early 1930 type frame with 1930 steering.
If it wasn't so far away I would be interested in the frame.
