SPEEDO CABLE FRAME BRACKET
SPEEDO CABLE FRAME BRACKET
Hi I have a 1930-31, 131" wheel base AA and I just purchased a speedo bracket from Synders . But I am not sure of its location on frame?
Re: SPEEDO CABLE FRAME BRACKET
Passenger side top of frame opposite transmission next to the body bracket is a hole. I think that is the correct hole.

rfj52,
Your AA would not have used a bracket.
The #2 frame cross member was changed from a channel style (similar to the A counter part) to a flanged, flat design in early 1929 (see attached drawing). This new design included a grommet hole for routing the speedometer casing through the #2 frame cross member. AA-17266 split style grommet was used in this cross member for the casing.

Thanks guys.
Re: SPEEDO CABLE FRAME BRACKET
Hi
Does anyone have the dimensions for the grommet used for the speedometer cable through the frame cross members: AA-17266?
Or a source to get them.
Thanks
Dave
