early shift tower cap,not screw on

what I did to lessen slop,on cap welded flat steel to make thicker took bolt that was larger than slot in cone,using drill press dressed bolt threads down where it would fit in slot,reinstalled,has jam nut on bolt,tighten till feel drag on reverse lockout lever,back off bit tighten jam nut,now shifts like it should,works for me,for got also drilled and tapped tower housing,both sides
