I am clearing out my late fathers garage and shed. There are numerous model a parts and looks like a few AA parts. Sadly the shed that a few parts were kept in was ripped apart by one of our "gentle" 90 mph wind storms here yesterday. What I was wondering is if someone could tell me the value of this AA transmission I found in the shed. It will need to be completely gone through since I have no idea of how long it has sat there.
Thanks again for any help you guys can give me.

Re: AA Transmission
sure doesnt look bad - but the pedal cars are worth way more...
depends on where you located is how easily it will be to sell someone, the bell-housing is desirable to mate the mid 80's F150 4 speed trans to and ive seen those alone go for $100, the trans part of it though is rather hard to get rid of as people arent using these AA's to haul so the low 1st gear isnt really useful.

Thanks stakebed,
I'm going to be putting a lot of the extra things for sale soon. My father was into model a's so he collected a lot of items. (Fenders, engine blocks, ect) Just a matter of seeing what all is there and listing them. Hopefully I can get enough to put my 31 back on the road.

Re: AA Transmission
They have little value unless they are in very good shape internally.
I just picked up one yesterday for free but it costs me $40.00 in gas to drive to pick it up.
The case is often cracked.
Most of the gears are available but they are new old stock. The cluster gear is about $500.00.
If it needs any gears plus all the bearings replaced as in a normal rebuild it will not be worth the time and trouble.
If you were closer to me, I'm in California I'd maybe buy it for parts IF it's not full of rusty gears and or chipped teeth.
I don't know a way you could ship it reasonably though. It would cost close to $100.00 to ship FedEx.
If it's perfect inside needing nothing I would say it's worth $100.00. It looks like yours may be stored ok if rain water never ran down the input shaft or down the shifter handle. That's how most get water inside them then ruined by rust.
The Bellhousing will sell for $100.00 easily if not damaged in any way. They also can be cracked or chipped.
