I'll pull some dimensions tomorrow. I'll assume you have no dimensions.

Bob
FYI - Engineering drawings are $30 each (my last order was January 2016). The high-speed worm gear was AA-4210 initially. According to the parts data base at http://www.maffi.org/partsresearch/ - There are 4 drawings for this part (i.e. AA-4210 without a suffix). It was changed to AA-4210-B when the low speed was specified. There are 9 drawings for this B suffix (and/or BR) part. A person really needs to go to the Benson Research Center and look at these 13 drawings to determine if any provide the information needed. Otherwise, lots of $'s to buy all.

here is what i found,

over all o.d. = 10.475 ( blank size )
OD over the lowest part of the arch of the cut tooth. = 10.185
tooth section width = .600
Dist. from low point on crest to root = .560
Dia. from lowest part of root. = 9.065
helix angle = looks like 45 deg.
ID that fits on the cage = 10.185
31 teeth

Stamped on one side only.
small "ford" in script and a small 1 - at 12:00 location
Large 3 - at 12:15 location
large E - at 10:00 location
small 5 - at 11:00 location

Note: This gear form is cut with a 'hob'. so there is no straight section that can be fly cut.

FYI Good luck.

Thank you kim!
I am looking into finding a hobb, but if i cant come up with anything i do have a TT worm that i am going to cut and harden to make a hobb, i will be making the tool post and everything to build the worm gear so hopefully when it is done i should be able to make as many as needed :D

Please don't cut up a good worm for this project. Get a hunk of A-2 and make one on a lathe. Save the worm!!!!
