gas tank clamps and brake switch
gas tank clamps and brake switch
i ordered a brake switch that bolts on transmission cover. seems to be made for a 3 speed. my truck has an updated 4 speed. what do people use with 4 speeds? also question number two. the clamps that hold cowl and gas tank together, are they used with the existing bolts and nuts OR are they spaced in between the bolts and nuts? i have heard both methods used but would prefer to find the correct one.

Re: gas tank clamps and brake switch
my truck is a Oct 29 with the 4 speed. I used the BB13480 stop light switch, and a AA13510B finger that clamps to the shaft from the peddle
and presses on the switch . ( pt #'s out of Mac's catalog) The switch mounts on the cross member after the trans and short shaft where it connects
to the drive shaft . As for the gas tank clamps, when i took my truck apart ,the bolts and clamps went thru the holes. Mac........

Post pictures of your clamps and "perimeter bolts" so we all know what you are referring to.
