roof material and seat slats

Post by birdacre »

two questions: there are four wooden seat slats. does each one have the arrow pointed metal tab at bottom? or is it just middle or outers? second question. rood consists of black fabric, padding and long grain cobra. hideum welt along edges and rain gutters over door. my question: is there an edging put on before any of this? i saw in marcos photos an edging which looked totally different. any ideas? what is this material called, please see at: http://abarnyard.com/temp/82-a/82a-30.jpg

I used fender welting or you could use gas tank welting. Mac.

The seat back lower retainers were installed on the two center support boards.

The edging shown in Marco's photo is the first item installed when doing the roofing. I believe the bead is slightly smaller than fender welt. But, I have not seen any specifications.
