Snyder's is using the wrong name. These are "frame spacers". These spacers are used on the 89-A express and platforms starting in late to early 1929. Some other cargo body types also used frame spacers (like some dump bodies, 244-A HD Express, etc.)

Yea the name didnt sound right to me but thats what they have. If you havent contacted them for the name change I can.

I thought id just pass the info along - noticed them as I was browsing for other parts and I know alot of guys are/were looking for the U bolts themselves.

Re: Snyders - Frame Spacers

Post by Neil Wilson »

I am fairly sure that the supplier of the sleeve style frame spacers is Charlie McKeown. I know that he had these spacers made. He supplies other parts to vendors. Not all of the original lengths have been made. So, a buyer needs to know what they need for there AA cargo body and order spacer lengths which are equal or longer than required. Consequently, spacers which are too long can then be cut to a proper length.

Most of the frame spacer information can be found be cargo body at http://aafords.com/open-bodies/
