As indicated above - The front rod for the 1930/1931 AA131 and 157 was an AA rod and is not sold by vendors as far as I know. It was 61-5/16" long with an adjustable clevis at the front and an eye at the rear. The rod had a spring pocket button which was 27-3/8" from the fixed eye. I checked it out and it's the A-2501-A alright measuring about 61-1/2". I think I just got it in backwards not realizing that the adjustable clevis should face forward (thank you Mr President) from the " pocket button" to the eye measures about 28" so it would seem to be very close to the original spec.

It would be interesting to know if Snyder's sells A-2501-A as for the 1930/1931 AA front rod. Snyder's A-2864-B 63-5/8" rod would be close to the 63-7/8" AA-2864-B Ford part which is listed as being for the 1930/1931 emergency brake rod. RGJS table shows 62-1/8". That is 1-3/4" shorter. This needs to be checked out.
I have added a task on my calendar to check out the two RGJS table differences.

they can be straightened relatively easily. The ones on my truck I had to straighten. They arent perfect but pretty darn close.

Thanks Stakebed, are you just heating them up and bending them back into place? My concern would be they would loose their strength by doing that.

I just cold bent em. Mine were mostly straight but had a bunch of bows and bends. If yours are more slinky than brake rod I would think about replacing them.

I made this today to visualize the rear brake rods on the 88-A, relative to each other . Not sure what the offset should be, took a stab, based on the return spring offset, and set them 2 inches apart.
