We know there are several things that will cause the 'A' model to run hot :P I read an artificial a few days age, I've never heard this before. Spark plugs can also cause the 'A' model to run hot. My '29 roadster pick-up ran many, many miles probably with the same plugs the was in it when my Dad overhauled it back in '54. Changed the carb. several times and points, but don't remember ever changing the spark plugs :) Shelby, Sacramento

Given that all of the normal things have been looked at.
Then maybe the head gasket.
My AA would not run hot as long as I kept it at low speeds and or low rpms. Once I opened it up, the water would boil out of the top. I ask around and was told this. Apparently if you have a head gasket leak at just the right spot the compression can leak into the water jacket area and instantly start boiling the water.
That was my problem, not a easy fix but better than a new radiator.
