battery box thread type

i have a 28 AA. the battery box has threaded posts or rods on 2 corners to accept the tie down. what thread is this? machine?? not coarse, not fine, any ideas?

should be fine thread... can you show a pic? lets us see if its an origonal box or not...

it is the original box. funny thing... fine thread does not want to go on? makes me think it is machine thread. any ideas?

the battery box to frame ends are coarse, battery hold down are fine. Probably boogered up from years of sliding battery hold downs on it.

Got a thread gauge? that should tell you what the pitch is.
