28 AA express bed tailgate chain

Post by birdacre »

i noticed that the "eyelets" if you will on an express bed do not line up when tailgate is closed. i think perhaps one chain link is turned sideways and large hook is put through outer eyelet to hold tailgate up? other end of chain is attached to the inner cast eyelet. just very different than other trucks. anyone have any photos up close. thank you in advance, kevin.
