side window glass

Post by motorclubaa »

Just taken our Club AA recovery truck on our London to Brighton heavy vehicle run here in England. It ran beautifully, around 150 miles.
Anway onto the serious stuff, some years ago the side windows were replaced and they have now cracked badly, long cracks. The glass must be laminated? In modern cars side glass is toughened so that you can smash it and get out in an emergency. So I am guessing that the glass in the truck should be toughened??
Can anyone confirm this before I start trying to find someone to supply it.
Thanks as ever for the help.

Mine is reg. Laminated safety glass. It should not break. You need to find out why. What hit it, pushed on it so hard to break it. Look for a sharp spot at the start of the crack. Is there a good guide where to glass slide? Something broke it that shouldn't be.. Good hunting..
