any experience with EVAPORUST?

Post by birdacre »

sounds like a neat product. my concern is scale and rust breaking loose and clogging a new radiator. there is a product out there now just for cooling systems. ideas, comments?

I used RUST 911 in my cooling system. Part of a nylon stocking in the upper radiator hose caught some of the dissolved rust. Anything that passed through the nylon wouldn't have been big enough to block anything.
I filled the cooling system with the RUST 911 and drove it for a few days. Drained and flushed the system. Refilled with RUST 911 again for a few days and flushed again.
The temp gauge on my car always stays in the "Operating Range" in over 100 degree weather and while in a parade.
