For my 1928 AA, is the shifter and park brake lever black or chrome? I have one of each available to use. I am guessing that the commercial trucks were dressed down. Would the black one be the correct color?

These parts were A chassis parts which means they were the same finish.

Which brings up a question that I've had for years...

Do any of the aftermarket manufactures replicate these parts in the butler finish? I have never seen them for sale. If not, how are people getting high scores on their vehicles for accuracy of those parts? Is the finish something we can replicate ourselves from a chrome or nickel plated part?

Thanks!
Mark P.

They send it to somebody like Craig Riker 419-290-4442 (Ohio) that specializes in this type of work.

I'll take some pics and post them here this weekend. I'm sure it is factory painted black. The parking brake is also black. It is mounted on the tower at the front. The ratchet that the pawl goes against is different also. One has 4 teeth and the other has 5 teeth.
